The 3 things I wish every woman for a meaningful year

Every year at this time, we’re all wishing each other a “happy new year”.

Some will tell you “health first, the rest will follow”, others will wish you love before anything else, and I’ve even heard some say “I wish you health and wealth, because everything else you can buy”!

While I’m not here to say who’s right or wrong, I’ve been reflecting about what I truly want and need for myself and what I genuinely wish for those who, like me, want to live a life of peace and serenity.

And it came down to these 3 things.

Three wishes I’d like to share with you today.

Especially if you identify as a woman.

Health first

Yep, nothing original here, but honestly without health, what can we really do in life?

I will, however, go a bit further and tell you what I really mean by “health” here. For me, what it really means is doing everything you can to be at the top of your game, physically, mentally, emotionally. Because health is not just about the body.

So yes, you might sacrifice a few hours of sleep here and there, eat junk food or takeout because it’s quicker, postpone that cardio session or take something to relax instead of addressing what’s really making you anxious… But, the body keeps the score. It really does.

And you have to remember, a body that feels better means a brain that functions better, intuition that flows easier, a nervous system that’s more regulated.

And by the way, that’s even more true if you’re a mom. I know you know what I’m talking about! I know you know how different the day is when you’ve locked in those 7,5 hours of sleep versus when you’ve indulged in one more episode ;)

So, yes, health first, but not just an empty wish or a list of unrealistic resolutions you won’t keep up with past February. What I truly wish for you this year is that you intentionally care for your health, in the way that makes the most sense for you.

And only you knows what that truly means.

We can talk about turning that into an action plan later!

Then, audacity!

Yep, that’s the second thing I wish for you this year.

And I’ve thought long and hard about that one. But I honestly think that audacity is one thing women can and should take from men!

Men usually have much more audacity when it comes to setting goals and pursuing them. And it’s time we allow ourselves to do the same.

It is seriously time to stop shrinking, to stop believing we don’t deserve to see our dreams come true, and above all else to stop settling for less than the greatness we deserve.

And so this year, let’s be audacious about what we want, let’s be bold about what we want, about our dreams and goals. Let’s speak them out loud, own them, proudly and unapologetically!

And lastly, courage

The third thing I wish for you is courage.

Let’s be honest, as woman, I think we embody courage everyday, by nature!

But I want to bring a little nuance here. Because when we think courage, we often thinkg toughness, hustle and resilience through struggle…

But I think courage does not only mean fighting through fear.

To me it also, and perhaps even more, about embracing who we are, entirely. It’s about owning our dreams, letting our voices be heard, saying no when it’s not a definite yes, and putting ourself first when we’ve been conditioned to do otherwise for generations…

Courage does not only show in what we do, it also lives in how we stand as the creator and main character of our own life.

And that’s what I wish for you this year: heath, audacity, courage.

Now, how does that sound to you? Are you ready to apply that into your life this year? If so, your first step might be to get some clarity on what your next aligned action is for better health, to define your dreams and set your intentions, or to start showing up with courage!
